Pallet Racking

Pallet Racking System | Warehouse Racking System

Hyperack supplies pallet racking systems for warehouses, factories and distribution centres across Malaysia. Each system suits a different storage requirement, handling method and space constraint. Use the guide below to identify the right starting point, then contact the team with your details for an accurate quotation.

Choosing a pallet racking system

The right system depends on how your team stores and retrieves pallets. Consider:

  • Selective pallet racking provides direct access to every pallet from the aisle. Suited to warehouses with a wide product range and frequent picking.
  • Double deep pallet racking stores pallets two positions deep at each pick face. Access to the rear pallet requires the front position to be clear; each pair normally works last-in-first-out. Confirm the handling truck and reach arrangement for the specified loads and depth.
  • Drive-in pallet racking allows the forklift to enter storage lanes. Single-ended lanes normally work last-in-first-out; match SKU and batch allocation to this physical access pattern when planning stock rotation.
  • Push-back racking uses inclined cart or roller lanes so pallets advance to the picking face when the front pallet is removed. Lanes are normally last-in-first-out; suitable batch and lane allocation, and compatible pallet dimensions, should be confirmed for each configuration.
  • Gravity flow racking uses gravity roller conveyors so pallets load from one end and pick from the opposite end in a first-in-first-out sequence. Pallet weights and dimensions must be compatible with the roller and lane specification for the configured depth.
  • Very narrow aisle (VNA) uses specialised trucks in narrower aisles. Plan the truck type, rack dimensions and aisle clearances together; the proposed layout determines the available storage positions and access.
  • Shuttle pallet racking uses a powered shuttle carrier to move pallets within the rack lanes. Confirm the controls, operating sequence, compatible pallets and handling equipment for the specified system.

For goods that are not palletised, see heavy duty shelving and boltless racks to compare suitable shelf sizes and rated configurations. Provide actual item dimensions, weights, load distribution and handling requirements when selecting a model.

Request a pallet racking quotation

Send the following to Hyperack for a layout and proposal:

  • Pallet dimensions and maximum loaded weight
  • Number of pallet positions required, SKU count, stock rotation requirements and access frequency
  • Handling equipment: counterbalance forklift, reach truck or other
  • Warehouse floor plan, clear height and column positions
  • Whether the project is a new installation, extension or relocation

To prepare your site information before requesting a layout, see the stockroom measurement guide and download the racking quotation brief (PDF) to organise dimensions, weights and requirements in one document.

Contact Hyperack to discuss your warehouse storage project.

Hyperack’s published projects include a selective pallet racking installation for DB Schenker and a double deep installation for CLF Trading. These are historical project records, rather than a promise of results for a new site.
